Facebook Tutorial-Application Settings(Connect,Widgets & Advanced)
Continuing on my “Settings for application” tab dsecription..in which i have already described in detail the Canvas and Profiles tab and Basic and Authentication tab.
Settings : Connect
Facebook Connect Settings
Connect URL : Your Connect site’s main URL.
Facebook Connect Logo : The image that appears in the Facebook Connect dialog. Limit: 99px wide and 22px tall.
Account Preview URL : Facebook pulls the content from here and displays it to the user in a Facebook Connect request.
Base Domain : Use this to enable your Facebook Connect implementation to span multiple subdomains (e.g., using example.com would enable foo.example.com and bar.example.com).
Account Reclamation URL : A URL that will be provided to a user that deactivates their Facebook account, to allow an independent account to be set up. See further documentation.
Friend Linking
Friend Linking Access Requested or Not Requested — Enable if you would like to apply for access to the Friend Linking feature. Only those applications that already have some form of native friend linking should request Friend Linking access. Proof on native friend linking functionality is also required if the request is to be considered.
How Site Uses Friend Linking : Explain why you need access to the Friend Linking feature, and how your website will use it.
Native Friend Linking : Yes or No — Select Yes if your site uses a contact importer or provides some other way to search for other users.
Native Friend Linking Documentation : Please explain how the contact importing feature or search works. If possible, provide a URL linking to documentation.
Template Bundles
Previously Submitted Template Bundles : History of all those template bundles that have already been submitted for auto-publishing of one line feed stories.
Note: Connect applications should start using the stream.publish API method instead of feed.publishUserAction.

Settings : Widgets
Widgets Administration
Application Developers : Owners Profile name will be displayed.
Administrators : Widget Administrators can edit widget settings. Note that all application developers can also act as Administrators.
Moderator : Widget Moderators can moderate content, whitelists, and blacklists.
Notification Subscribers : You can subscribe yourself as well by using the check box – Include me! Subscribers will receive a notification whenever content is added.
Comments Box Global Settings
Permissions Mode : Whitelist Mode or Blacklist Mode
– Whitelist Mode : Content can only be viewed by users on the Whitelist.
– Blacklist Mode : Content can be viewed by anyone not on the Blacklist.
Whitelist : In Whitelist Mode, only these users can view content.
Blacklist : In Blacklist Mode, these users cannot interact with widgets.
Allow Anonymous Comments : Yes or No. — Allow users without a Facebook account to comment using name and email address.
Application Type : WebDesktopSandbox Mode : Enable or Disable. — Lets only the developers of your application see it. It’s Developer mode, you can quitely develop it on facebook even without letting anyone know that it’s there.
SMS Integration : Enable or Disable – Lets you integrate your application with SMS.iPhone Application ID : If you have an iPhone app using Connect, fill this in with your Apple-provided application ID.
Attachment Text : The label for your application’s link to attach content. Examples: Attach Photos, Attach Files, Share Link.
Attachment Callback URL : Facebook pulls the content for your attachment interface from here.
Server Whitelist : Facebook blocks requests using your API key from any IP address not in this comma-separated list.
Session Secret Whitelist Exception : Enable or Disable – If you are using a Server Whitelist, choose “Enable” to allow applications using a session-based temporary secret (such as Facebook Connect and iframe applications) to bypass the whitelist.
Video Rentals : Does your site publish feed stories involving video sales, rentals, or subscriptions?
– Yes or No — If applicable, your site must comply with the Video Privacy Protection Act, including obtaining explicit, opt-in consent prior to sharing user data with Facebook.
Advertising Account : The advertising account you would like to associate with the application. Please enter the email address you used when creating this account on Facebook.
